Stampin' Up! Sweet Summer using Double Embossing technique

The highlighted technique over at Splitcoaststamers yesterday was double embossing.  Since I don't have any nestabilities dies from Spellbinders, I don't think my card actually qualifies as double embossed.  But I did use the first part of the technique which is to create a framed area in my embossed background that is not embossed.  It's very subtle, but I like the results.  Check out the tutorial over at Splitcoaststamers here for the How To.
The gathered ribbon is explained in another one of my posts HERE.
This Sweet Summer Stamp set is available right now for FREE with the purchase of $50 in product! Don't miss out! Sale-A-Bration ends March 31st! See more information and the complete Sweet Summer Stamp Set HERE in the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Cards Inspired by Dresses

So yesterday, I had some time to create and instead of looking at other peoples cards to inspire me, I decided to look at dresses.  Having moved to tin buck two this last year, I do VERY little shopping. So I went to Nordstrom.com and started looking at dresses.
Ingredients: Kraft and basic black cardstock, I {heart} hearts and Tiny Tags stamp sets, Versa mark, Soft Suede and Basic black ink, black embossing powder, crystal effects, Stampin Write basic black marker, Crystal Rhinestone brad, Stampin dimensionals, Finial embossing folder, Scribbles swirls sizzlit and the Big Shot.

The post from yesterday was also inspired by a dress! What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear your comments.

Just posted this at splitcoaststampers.com as my very first sketch challenge. I've tried to do these before, but just found myself getting distracted by other things. This is a shameless scraplift from the Jenni Bowlin gallery on Scrapbook.com. Her page is called peek. I thought her page was adorable and it immediately ispired me to make this page, which I also think is adorable. It's adorable because of that adorable boy who climbed up into the tomato plants and helped himself to the green tomatoes right off the vine.
The page was composed using Stampin Up stamps, ink, paper and punches. I also used Basic Grey paper, and I did some hand stiching after I poked holes with my Tim Holtz design ruler (love this ruler!!)
