Nuts & Bolts Steampunk Card Tutorial Stampin' Up!

 The adorable Nuts & Bolts stamp set is retiring so I wanted to have another play with it and I thought the steampunk style would be a fun way to go with these images. Now, I'm not super knowledgable of the steampunk style, but anyone with the internet can at least see some images, right? So here's my take on steampunk style in my own card making. I used several stamp sets to build up a grungy background and then featured the adorable robot without any other fanfare.

Celebrate Sunflower Emboss Resist Technique Stampin' Up! Card

 It was ONE of THOSE weeks! My craft therapy was severely needed this morning. This card was a collaborative effort by me and my brother. We were talking on the phone while I was crafting and I kept sending him pictures of the card as I was making it. He was helping me with design decisions. It was double-dipping in the therapy that's for sure. So here's the result...

I LOVE the way it turned out. I embossed the flowers and leaves with versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder on Whisper White cardstock. I used brushes to add Pumpkin Pie, Magenta Madness and Blackberry Bliss ink over the embossed images. The stems were cut with the coordinating dies. The label dies is from Tasteful Labels dies. The embossing folder is folder is Tasteful Textile.
