Itty Bitty Banners Pinwheel Birthday Card

Handmade cards don't have to be ordinary! Take yours a step up with Stampin' Up!

Once again, Stampin' Up! product coordination and stunning embellishments make this little pinwheel card over the top adorable!
Isn't this a nice break from Valentines?
Take a look at how perfectly the Tea For Two designer series paper (129311) works for creating your pinwheel.  All you need is a great pair of paper snips (103579) and some glue dots (103683).

This is a 4 x 4 Very Vanilla card made with a 4 x 8 inch card base folded in half using a bone folder (102300).  The Calypso coral polka dot pattern from the Tea For Two paper is cut at 3 x 3 inches and the So Saffron card stock (105118) layered beneath it is cut at 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches.
I used the Ovals collection framelit dies (129381) with the Big Shot (113439) to cut out the oval shaped chevron stamp from the Oh Hello stamp set (130730 wood or 130733 clear mount) that was stamped in So Saffron ink (126957) on Very Vanilla card stock (101650).  The greeting is from Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (126255 wood or 126257 clear mount).  The happy birthday greeting is stamped in Early Espresso (126974) and cut with the Bitty Banner Framelits (129267).  I added a Vintage Faceted Designer button (127555) to the center of the pinwheel with a glue dot.  The pinwheel handle is just a skewer that I had in my kitchen, cut to the appropriate length, and attached also with glue dots (103683).
Isn't it so adorable!!!  Don't forget you can get the Oh Hello stamp set and the Ovals Collection framelits as a bundle at a reduced price.  Click on the Spring Catalog and check page a 4 for pricing details.
Thanks for stopping by, please say 'hi'!

Handmade Birthday Card with Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets

Isn't this a cool frame?  It's made by placing 2 of the Apothecary Accents Framelits dies on the same sheet of paper and running through the Big Shot at the same time.  (Tip:  Use removable tape to hold the frames in place on the paper)
I cut a second large medallion with Very Vanilla and did the stamping on that.  Line up the frame on top of the floral stamped image and use your Stamp a ma jig to stamp the greeting.  All edges have been sponged with Soft Suede ink. Then add the frame on top using Stampin dimensionals.  You can't really see that dimension in this photo, but trust me, it looks really cool in person and is worth the extra effort.  The string of pearls I added to the blue punched border are only 7 pearls long on each side.  You don't want to waste the pearls in the middle that won't be seen.  After tying the bow, adhere it with mini-glue dots and snail adhesive.
Catherine Pooler has a great video for this frame.  Mine is an easier version, but you should check out her video.
Make sure you check out all my DEALS below!
And make it a FABULOUS day!

Extreme Skateboard Birthday Card

I'm so sad to see Sale-A-Bration come to an end.  It's been so much FUN!!  I've so enjoyed all the workshops I've done and the wonderful people I've met.  AND of course, all the free stamps that even I have gotten.  But I'm looking forward to April's sweet special on two step stamping and to May, National Scrapbooking month!
So here's a birthday card I intend to send to my brother who owns a skate shop in Idaho.  http://www.meritboardshop.com/
I'm so proud of him and what he's doing with the local youth in his area.
I used a couple of my free sale a bration sets on his card:  Four Square and Extreme Skateboard.  It's not too late!! Sale-A-Bration lasts till March 31st!! Click here to shop now.  Get a free stamp set from the Sale A Bration catalog for every $50 you spend!! Yipee!!  Who doesn't LOVE FREE STUFF!!
The paper used is the Write Stuff patterned paper pack which comes with really cool die cuts.  I distressed all the parts by sanding and inked the edges of the happy birthday stamped image.  I also used the Itty Bitty Background stamp on the die cut.  Colors used are: soft suede, and real red.  Paper used:  Whisper White, Real Red, The Write Stuff. Embellishments:  silver brads. Tools:  paper piercer, sanding block, scallop sqare punch, 1 1/4" square punch, stampin sponges
