So Friday, I made this card for my mother-in-law. Her birthday was today and we had a lovely lunch at Cheesecake Factory (Yes, I had the sugar free cheesecake - delicious!) after lunch with her.
And like I said over on my Facebook page. On Sunday's I can take a selfie. Can you guess why?
Anyway...here are the details about the card...
Card base is made with Petal Pink cardstock (8 1/2" x 5 1/2" scored at 4 1/4"). Cut the flower filigree piece with Whisper White cardstock and the Detailed lace floral thinlets die (retired). However, you could use the Delicate lace dies and it would be just as beautiful if you don't already have the Detailed Lace.
Cut the Magnolia Lane DSP piece (4 1/4" x 3 1/4") and adhere to card front with the lace die-cut.
Stamp the happy birthday greeting with the Botanical Bliss stamp set on a scratch piece of Whisper White cardstock. Cut out the greeting with the small oval from Stitched Shapes dies. Cut the scalloped oval to layer behind the greeting with Basic Black cardstock with the Layering Ovals dies. Adhere layered greeting with Stampin' Dimensionals to the card front. Trim off the outside edges of the 5/8" Organdy Striped Ribbon (Petal Pink) and tie a bow with the center section.
Adhere near the greeting with a glue dot. Stamp the magnolia bud and leaf from the Good Morning Magnolia stamp set down the edge of the envelope in Momento tuxedo black ink and color with Stampin' Blends, Petal Pink light and dark, and Mossy Meadow light and dark.
So what do you think of the card? I would love to hear your comments and thoughts. If you make this card or something like it send me a photo!
