Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets Anniversary Card

Wow! It's startling to me how long its been since I've had a chance to do some crafting.  We moved form Nebraska to Tucson, AZ at the end of last month and I'm just now getting settled to the point where I can stamp again.  It feels good!
I needed to make a few anniversary cards for my downline and here's the first one I came up with.  I love the look of the Beyond the Garden Suite projects in the Stampin' Up! Idea and Catalog.  (Pages 106-107) Since the weather here is so lovely it's really gotten me in a spring time mood.  The colors in this suite are really spring-y.  I hope you enjoy it.
The foliage image from the Fabulous Florets stamp set was embossed using Melon Mambo embossing powder on Melon Mambo card stock.  I love that look.  The flower image was also stamped and embossed with Melon Mambo embossing powder but on the same designer series pattern from Beyond the Garden as the background panel.  I thought it was a nice way to take the coordination of products just one step further. This technique is called Paper Piecing.
I also like the "here's to you" sentiment for an Stampin' Up! anniversary.  Each member of my downline is very special to me, and I want to do a better job of letting them know that this year.
If you're interested in joining Stampin' Up!, The Creators group could be for you.  It's a very low pressure group, mostly consisting of hobbyist demonstrators.
The Starter Kit is currently only $125
(regularly $175)
until March 31, 2012.
There are so many wonderful benefits to being a demonstrator, you can learn more on my Stampin' Up! website HERE.
Don't miss out on Sale-A-Bration
and your Free product choice from the Sale-A-Bration Catalog
with every $50 purchase.
A $50 purchase also qualifies you to a ROSE reward.  See the details of my rewards program HERE
Thanks for stopping by, and I'd love to hear from you!

Stampin' Up! Flower Fest Butterfly and Ruffles Card

Today's card is a CASE (Copy and Share Everything...a motto that most Stampin' Up! demonstrators live by quite joyfully) of a card I found on Pinterest. Although CASE is an acronym, we tend to use the word as a verb.

Now, I don't know if crafters outside of SU live by the CASE rule, but I think most do.  To have someone copy your work is really a huge compliment, isn't it?  So here's a link to the card on Pinterest.

And here's my take on it using Stampin' Up! supplies...
The ruffle effect is made with punching 1 inch strips of Pacific Point card stock and 1 inch strips of Beyond the Garden DSP (Designer Series Paper).
The butterfly image from the Flower Fest stamp set was embossed using VersaMark and white embossing powder on Pacific Point card stock, then punched out with the butterfly punch.

At this very moment as I type, the Butterfly punch and the Scalloped Edge Border Punch are both available in the Clearance Rack in the old style of punch. Go see if you can still get 'em!

My top 3 reasons (but I have many more) for choosing to craft with Stampin' Up!
  1. Color and Design Coordination
  2. Stamp and Punch Coordination
  3. 2 Step Stamp Sets
Thanks so much for stopping by and I treasure your comments, so please take the time to leave one if you can.
Have a wonderful, crafty day!

Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance...again!

I can't seem to get enough of this stamp set.  It's really growing on me.  And I kind of CASEd myself with this layout. It's a rather simple card and done with Stampin' Write markers and a blender pen after heat embossing the image with white embossing powder.
The crumb cake card stock was a terrific base with which to use the blender pen.  I colored in the large flowers with a Calypso Coral marker then came back and partially outlined the petals with Riding Hood Red.  Then I used the blender pen to blend the colors.  I think it worked very well and better than most of my attempts at this technique. Someday I'll get a video camera and start filming how I "do stuff".

Post update:  I have added tutorial for this card HERE.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and I would love to hear from you so please leave me a comment.  If you have any questions about any of my projects, I'm just a click away.

Don't forget for every $50 purchase you get to choose a FREE item from the Sale A Bration catalog.  Good for online orders, email orders, workshop orders, club orders...basically any order type.

Happy Stamping!

Stampin' Up! Bordering on Romance Black and White card

Black and white with a little bling is a timeless combination, don't you think.  I had a left over Scalloped Oval in black and white and this was the resulting card after a little play time.
I was casing the Stampin' Success magazine (a free monthly magazine for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators) making this card which left me with the extra scalloped ovals.
Have you given some thought to joining Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator?  Right now is a fabulous time to do that.  Instead of the usually priced $175, the starter kit is only $125 and has everything you need to start stamping and start your business if you so choose.  Visit my website and click Join the Fun for more details www.kellyrose.stampinup.net.

Stampin' Up! Everyday Elegance, a FREE Sale A Bration Stamp Set

Free Stamps, Free Paper, Free Brads, Free Ribbon.  I'm lovin' it!!  Sale A Bration is so much fun. Get all the details on the promotions page here on my Stampin' Up! website where you can place your order by clicking Shop Now. (Go to my website www.kellyrose.stampinup.net)

I love all the texture on this card.  And I'm always hooked when I can coordinate stamps with paper as seen here with the  Fresh Vintage Stamp Set and the Everyday Enchantment designer series paper.

To get the look of the background, ink up the embossing folder before adding your paper.  Simply rub your ink pad all over the "FLAT" side of the folder.

I used Island Indigo Classic Ink and Island Indigo card stock with the Finial Press Embossing folder.

The little ribbon and brad embellishment are also from the Sale A Bration catalog.  You can choose Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack as your free item when you spend $50.
Here's another card I made for a wonderful friend and downline member who has been struggling with some health issues.  She was feeling well enough the other day for me to come over and "play".
We made thank you cards using this same design and the Perfectly Penned Stamp Set from the Idea Book and Catalog.

Supply List:
Stamps:  Fresh Vintage (#125117, #125115-wood) and Perfectly Penned on the Get Well Card (#122892, #122890-wood)
Ink:  Island Indigo (#122937), Soft Suede (#115657)
Stamp n Write Markers:  2011-2013 In Color Assortment (#123002)
Paper:  Island Indigo (#122923), Naturals White (#102028), Everyday Enchantment (#126154)
Accessories:  Island Indigo 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (#122974), Big Shot (#113439), Finial Press Embossing Folder (#115963), Framelits Die (#125598), Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack (#127279), Stampin' Sponges (#101610), Mat Pack (#105826), Paper-Piercing Tool (#116631), Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430)

I would love to hear from you, so please take a moment to leave me a comment if this card has inspired you.  Thanks so much for stopping by!
