Any Occasion handmade card with Oh, Hello

A 3-D frame created with 2 different Stampin' Up! framelit dies - so easy to do!

Here's the 3rd card in the series...
3-D frame made with Big Shot and Stampin' Up! Oh Hello stamp set

To create the frame, first cut your Very Vanilla card stock using the second to largest die in the Labels Collection Framelits AND and a mid sized oval from the Ovals Collection framelits (available Jan. 3, 2013 from the Stampin' Up! Spring catalog) You can run both dies through at the same time!  So you make the entire frame with only one pass through the Big Shot.  You can also add the smallest oval to cut the center out as well.  I didn't happen to do that, because I didn't know exactly where I was going with the card, but I checked, and they all fit.
Then to get the coloring on the frame, add ink (Crumb Cake) to the flat side of the Perfect Polka dots embossing folder, lay your frame in the ink and carefully close and run through the big shot.  Remove embossed frame from the folder and with a stamping sponge add Calypso Coral ink to the raised dots.
I love the repeating chevron pattern in the embossed background and the stamped image inside the frame.
Here's your Spring 2013 Catalog wish list for this card:

  • Oh Hello (130730 wood mount, or 130733 clear mount)
  • Ovals Collection Framelit dies (129381) Make all three cuts at the same time!
And from the current catalog, you can find these items today:
  • Label Collection Framelits (125598)
  • Stamping Sponges (101610)
  • Stampin' Dimensionals (R) (104430)

Oh Hello, Girly Thank You Card

Paper piecing and embossing give this girl-y thank you card a sweet vintage look!

This is the second in my four card series using the soon to be released Oh Hello stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s Spring Catalog (Release date January 3, 2013). It's so easy to be inspired by coordinating products which you see in the Calypso Coral designer paper combined with the coordinating ink, baker's thread and ribbon.  The flower image repeated with the stamp and the designer paper. The ruffled ribbon mimics the ruffled looking embossed background achieved by the Stampin' Up! Fancy Fan embossing folder.   BTW, you don't have to have the Big Shot to use our embossing folders or framelits dies.  I've been told they work with other die cutting machines as well. Not that I would want you to use anything else, because I LOVE the Big Shot and have used others.  I think the Big Shot is the easiest and works the best for everything.

Here's your Spring 2013 Catalog wish list for this card:
  • Oh Hello (130730 wood mount, or 130733 clear mount)
  • Tea for Two designer paper (129311) Emboss the card base AFTER stamping and paper piecing.
  • 5/8" Vanilla Flower Trim (126869)
And from the current catalog, you can find these items today:
  • Label Collection Framelits (125598)
  • Stamping Sponges (101610) I sponged 2 colors around the edges of everything!
  • Stampin' Dimensionals (R) (104430)
  • Crumb Cake classic ink (126975)
  • Very Vanilla ultra smooth card stock (101650)
  • Calypso Coral classic ink (126983)
  • 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon (122976)
  • Baker's Twine (125573)
  • Fancy Fan embossing folder (127751)
  • Big Shot (113439)

Oh Hello stamp set Thank you card

A fun 3D Thank you card using die cuts, sewing, and Oh Hello Stampin' Up! Stamp Set and Tea for Two Designer paper

Fun and funky may be an overused phrase these days, but still perfectly describes this stamp set available on January 3rd, 2013 in the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog. If you haven't seen it yet, let me know and I'll get one to you. In a word, it's fabulous! Just exactly what you'd expect from Stampin' Up!
Here's a card I cased from the catalog...

Yep, that's sewing on there, with a sewing machine.  The sample in the book has white thread, but since the pink was already threaded up in my machine, pink is what this card got. I HATE to change my thread on my sewing machine-lazy I guess.

Stampin' Up! Trust God and Wonderfall CASE

God is LOVE.  I thought this would be a nice thing to share on a Sunday morning...

I cased this card from Angie Leach.  Her card can be found here.  She has a lovely blog.
I'm really enjoying these two new stamp sets of mine!  Wonderfall and Trust God.
Trust God Stamp Set

Wonderfall Stamp Set

For the Gumball Green leaf, I cut the oak leaf shape using the Autumn Accents die, folded it in half (as much in half as you can as its not really symetrical) and ran it through the big shot using the new Woodgrain Textured embossing folder.  The folder, the die and the Wonderfall stamp set can be found on page 33 of the Holiday Catalog (2012).
I hope you have a lovely day and please let me know if you have any questions about my projects, Stampin' Up! product, or about my Stampin' Up! business.  I love to talk stamps!
May God's abundant Grace and Peace be with you!

Stampin' Up! Wonderfall and a Masking/Spritzing Technique

WONDERFALL!

I saw this technique in Paper Crafter's Magazine.  Love it!!
Start by cutting out the leaves with the Autumn Accents Bigz Die using the Big Shot.  Any scratch paper will do.
Arrange your leaves (masks) using removable adhesive.  My paper size is 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla.  Make sure your leaves are the right side up so that when you stamp, your leaf image will fit correctly.
Make a mixture of a drop or two of the Soft Suede Ink refill, one drop of Champagne Shimmer Mist and rubbing alcohol in a Stampin' Spritzer.  Shake to mix.  Spritz on a scratch piece of paper to make sure you like the mix.  Spritz over the leaves on your card stock layer.  Wait just a few seconds and then remove the leaves. Rub off any adhesive residue with your CLEAN fingers.
Wonderfall Stamp Set
Use a Stamp-a-ma-jig when you stamp so that your images will be perfectly centered in the leaf images left by your masks. Use the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp your greeting.  Brush ink around the edges of the card base and the stamped layer.  Stamp a few leaves on your inner panel if using one.  Mask your envelope and spritz.
Complete your card will a little seam binding tied across the top of the card.  I'm sorry you can't see the sparkle on this card!  It's quite lovely and was really quick and easy.  The color combo was taken from the Color Coach!
Please leave me a comment if you found this little tutorial helpful and have a FABULOUS DAY!!
May God's Grace and Peace be with you!

Stampin' Up! Bright Blossoms

My "under-used" postage stamp punch provided perfect inspiration for this dual stamped card.  Simple, cute, easy and bright.

Squares for stamped image are 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" and 2" x 2"
Can you see in the photo that the little flower has two colors?  I first inked up the stamp with Tangerine Tango, then colored a few of the circles with a Real Red marker.  Its just a small detail that helps add that "something extra" to the card.
I hope to see your "dual stamped" cards out there!
If you need any supplies to make a card like this you can get them in my online Stampin' Up! Store.
Grace and peace to you!

Aren't they so awesome!  And here's a card I made with Scentsational Season Bundle.

I used Cajun Craze for the gingerbread man.  He's so cute.  I wanted my card to look like an old fashioned cookie tin.  Does it work?  I'm becoming addicted to using Whisper White and Very Vanilla together on the same card. It feels like a guilty pleasure.
I used a retired stamp set for the greeting, but this new one would be awesome.
Greetings of the Season (#128033 clear mount $11.95, #128030 wood $15.95) Preferred prices listed.

Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to be your Stampin' Up! demonstrator if you don't already have one.

Stampin' Up! You're Amazing

And he is!  Our little cousin who is in the hospital received this card from us last week.  He is amazing and is going through such a tough time.
I modified one of our #Convention Make N Take projects into a card for him.  I remember having a conversation about this stamp set with a member of my fabulous downline and we were wondering how we would use this stamp set.  Now that I have it and have played with it a little, its becoming a favorite.  I love the vintage feel of the images.
I don't know if you can see in this poor quality photo or not, but the letters of AMAZING were embossed, cut out by hand and popped up with stampin' dimensionals.  I embossed with clear embossing powder by first inking my stamp with Versamark and then following up with Midnight Muse ink.  The new ink pads lend themselves very well to this technique because they are so "juicey".  If you haven't tried them yet, you're going to love them.  See my offer to receive a free one HERE!

Thanks for stopping by, I'd love to hear from you, and I'd love to be your Stampin' Up! demonstrator if you don't have one yet.
May God bless you abundantly!

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Butterflies

Butterflies and flowers on a background of pink! Add some spritz, sparkle and ruffled ribbon and my heart is happy!

The middle portion with the torn edges was a happy accident.  The first card I made, my wheel was upside down, so I tore it out and added it to a new card.
I made a set of these for a friend, but embossed the floral image from the Elements of Style stamp set.
I used the same Very Vintage wheel stamp on the flap of the envelope for a complete coordinating look. So which do you like better?  The embossed version or the stamped on white version?  I think I prefer the embossed version, but the stamped version would be easy to reproduce for a class or card party.
If you click on the photo you can see a larger image and get a good look at the ruffled ribbon.  The new stitched 1/4" grosgrain ribbon has that sweet little white thread that is easy to pull, so you can easily gather your ribbon any time you need a little more dimension or character.
To get that ruffled edge of the paper to stand up, after tearing, run your bone folder perpendicularly to the torn edge until you get the look you like.  Gently press the bone into the edge as you run it along to further distress and create curl.
Finally,  a little spritzing with Rich Razzleberry marker in the Color Spritzer tool and some Shimmer Paint (just a drop or two) mixed with rubbing alcohol ink in our new spritzer bottles add the perfect finishing touch to this feminine vintage card.
This card was really easy to put together, but has really nice texture and dimension.  I hope you've enjoyed it and feel inspired to do some stamping today!
May God bless you abundantly,
Kelly
